Remuneration structure: Advanced options

Point type

1. Point type
Use the drop-list to select the point type to be used to define the structure.

  • The default option is MHR Market Index Value derived from MHR's online job evaluation system, JE Leader.

  • Alternatively if you use a different job evaluation system, and can convert the results to Hay points values (based on the Hay job evaluation system) you can use the Hay points to define your structure.

Note:

Where Hay points values (either directly from the Hay system, or converted from another system) are used, these values are converted to indicative MHR Market Index Values in the backgrouund in order to extrapolate the remuneration values for each Band. While the resulting Band structure will display the entered "Hay" values for ease of reference, these values are not used to extract the market data.

The resulting remuneration structure should be considered as indicative only, as any conversion of values from one job evaluation system to another cannot be considered 100 percent accurate.

The use of Job evaluation results from other systems is offered solely as a service for users who may be using other systems, and may be used solely at the user's own risk. MHR Global accepts no liability for the accuracy of any job evaluation values derived from systems other than the MHR JE Leader system.

Remuneration measure

2. Remuneration measure
Use the drop-list to select the remuneration measure to be used for creating the remuneration structure.

The default selection is Total Remuneration.
3

Market position

3. Market position
Use the drop-list to select the market position (point in the range) at which data wil be extracted.

The default value is "Median" representing the middle of the range.
4

Aging factor

4. Aging factor
Enter a percentage value to age market data or to offset the remuneration structure above or below the selected market position.

Typically this would be used to age data by applying an index value to increase remuneration values without fully realigning data to new market data.

For example:

  • in Year 1 a new remuenration structure is developed and saved

  • In Year 2 this is updated by the application of an index value (Aging factor) of 2.0 percent, based on COI or an agreed settlement

  • In Year 3 the structre is realigned to the market by selecting a more recent survey.

Band range

5. Band range
The entered value defines the default range from the Midpoint Remuneration value at which the Minimum and Maximum remuneration values are calculated.

The default value of 10 results in a remuneration band which runs from 90.0 percent to 110.0 percent, with a midpoint at 100.0 percent.
